Eastserve consults residents about community website
Eastserve, the largest community based broadband project in Europe based in east Manchester is relaunching its website www.eastserve.com later this year and is consulting residents on the changes they would like to see. Five workshops from 21 –24 March, held at the NDC offices on Grey Mare Lane in Beswick, will cover a range of issues from community safety to employment.
The five sessions are as follows:
March 21st, 10am-1pm, Community safety
March 21st, 4pm-7pm, Youth
March 22nd, 1pm-3.30pm, Community involvement
March 23rd, 10am-1pm, Health
March 24th, 10am-1pm, Business, employment and skills
Athol Few, Eastserve's project manager said: "If you're interested in a particular issue, we'd like to hear your views, so register to come along as places are limited. With more Council services now available on-line, we want to tailor our website to the community's evolving needs. We're keen to find out how we can make the website even better and we want to know what additional services residents would like us to offer."
Sean McGonigle, East Manchester New Deal for Communities Co-ordinator added: "Eastserve was specifically set up for the people of east Manchester and it has come along way in the last five years and it is now time to give it a bit of a makeover. As we strive to improve the service, the views of the community it's aimed at are very important to us. Eastserve.com is a first class, award-winning website that has always listened to the views of local residents and we want to make sure it stays that way."
